Jay Jones – Founder of JADA: Join Advocate Defend Act
Jay Jones is a protective parent, LGBTQ+ advocate, and the visionary founder of JADA – Join Advocate Defend Act. A mother, wife, and fighter, Jay created JADA not just to defend her own rights—but to build a platform for all people facing injustice, especially those the system tries to silence.
Jay’s journey into advocacy began with a deeply personal struggle: a custody battle where her parental rights were trampled, her identity was targeted, and due process was ignored. But her fight didn’t stop there. As a queer woman, survivor of discrimination, and working-class American, Jay witnessed firsthand how many people—parents, workers, tenants, veterans, and victims—are failed by the very systems meant to protect them.
That pain became purpose. Through JADA, Jay now fights for justice across a wide range of issues: parental rights, LGBTQ+ family protection, civil liberties, workers’ rights, racial equity, and access to fair legal processes. Her advocacy combines bold public action, legal strategy, and grassroots support to uplift voices and demand accountability at every level.
JADA is more than a nonprofit—it’s a promise. A promise that no one has to face injustice alone. Named in part after her own name, and also a call to action—Join, Advocate, Defend, Act—JADA reflects Jay’s refusal to stay silent and her mission to make change that lasts.
Jay currently lives in Michigan, continuing to lead JADA with fierce love, deep conviction, and an unwavering belief that justice belongs to all of us.
